Hi friends, hope your week is up to a good start! While checking out this month's first theme for the INSPIRATION STATION Challenges, I noticed things a little differently than the usual. Instead of using horse, lady or the scenery, I looked the theme as in an outdoor activity and monochromatic layout; and so I replicated this using my creativity. Take a look at it, To create this card, I started by tearing a scrap cardstock into a rough terrain and hills. Using these as stencils, I ink blended hills and for a good perspective, used darker shades for the layers upfront, on a 4x6.5" white card panel. For the slopes, I used muted tones and then again darkened the tones for declining slopes. Now, for the other elements, I used one of the cutest stamp sets from MFT - Happy Campers stamp set. I stamped the trees and the happy owl using the lightest distress ink color I blended with. Using copics, I colored the trees, the tent and the owl. However, just for some interest, I colored the owl in earth tones, thereby breaking the monotonous look! For the sentiment, I white heat embossed on black cardstock, cut that out and foam mounted it. I loved how it came out! And I hope this card inspires you to try monochromatic scenes and join in the fun challenge as well! Don't forget to share your creations too... B-Bye and Keep crafting!
